AC Vacuum Pump Primer

An AC Vacuum pump is a must for any Auto Repair Shop. It is a profit center in and of itself and will quickly repay the initial cost in billed service.

Moisture is what you don't want in your Air Conditioning System, and and AC Vacuum Pump, like the Robinair 15600 Vacuum Pump works to thoroughly remove it, and the crystallization that forms in the lines as a result of the moisture.

Once that crystallization mixes with your refrigerant, it becomes corrosive and can eat up your entire system and you won't know it before it is too late.

A simply, but ineffective way is to use a shop compressor with a venturi attachment to evacuate the AC Lines, however this will not pull out all the moisture.

Best results for your Auto A/C system and the effective removal of moisture require that you use an AC Vacuum Pump specifically designed for the job.

Remember, AC Pumps are rated in CFM. The higher the CFM (Cubic Feet Per Minute) the faster the pump can achieve vacuum to finish the job.

The Robinair 15600 AC Vacuum Pump is rated at 6 CFM and is a 2 stage pump, well suited for all automotive applications, and can handle larger systems than comparable units.
